Harpers case study

Background
The Harpers chain of fish and chip restaurants and takeaways, owned by Debbie and Polat Akcicek, are legendary for their quality. Customers, including some celebrities, will gladly travel miles to get their regular fix of fish and chips from their outlets.

Debbie and Polat built and opened their latest restaurant Harpers (Staxton) at a cost of £800k with a huge amount of local support. The restaurant has given the area a much needed boost in terms of the facilities it provides and the jobs it has created. Debbie and Polat are the sort of people that everybody wants to succeed and we, at The Holt Studio, are very confident that they will do just that!

The brief
Debbie, Polat and the Harpers (Staxton) general manager, Lee Harrison asked us to design a website for them. At first they were not completely sure what they wanted. This is a typical part of the design process and one which we anticipate / expect. However we are adept and highly experienced at providing a solution the client ends up being extremely happy with and this was no exception.

How we were able to help

harpers-site

As well as doing the coding we did all the photography, keyword research, copywriting, and search engine optimisation for this site.

We put a flash animation on the home page to showcase some of the features of the restaurant and a montage on the ‘our ethos’ page for the same reason. We incorporated Google Analytics and provided 10 email boxes as well as hosting the site (the first 12 months is free to all new clients, worth £50).

“We are delighted with the work The Holt Studio have done for us. We like their approach and the way they make everything so hassle free. They have given us a professional, unique website complete with a brilliant virtual reality tour that we are extremely proud of. They made such a good job that we had no hesitation in asking them to design our signage and posters. Many thanks and very well done!”
